WHO WE ARE
Woodmont K-8, home of the Snow Leopards, is located in Des Moines’ Woodmont Beach neighborhood and serves scholars in grades K-8. Our mission is to provide exemplary learning opportunities for scholars to meet high expectations so that they develop critical thinking, agency, and collaboration. We do this through our STEM integration and Project Based Learning. Scholars also benefit from an array of school activities and clubs to enhance their learning along with active community volunteers and partnerships.

All are invited to attend the 2025 CTE Scholar Showcase on Monday. May 19, from 6-7:30 p.m., for an evening showcasing how students explore careers through CTE.

This year’s Battle of the Books was a milestone event—celebrating 25 years of sparking curiosity, building reading confidence, and bringing students together through the joy of books.
